Security Service of Ukraine detained local resident who took part in terrorist attacks in Odessa in February and in April 2014. After attacks he was hiding in the territory controlled by so-called Lugansk People’s Republic, but returned to Odessa after two years with new tasks from the leaders of pro-Russian terrorists where he was immediately captured.

Detained resident of Odessa took part in attack on a supermarket and office of one of Ukrainian political parties, both located in apartment buildings. After those attacks this man was hiding in so-called “LPR” performing various tasks of terrorists.

After 2 years the leaders of militants decided that there was no danger for the terrorist on government-controlled territory of Ukraine and sent him to Odessa with new tasks.

Security Service officers detained the saboteur right after he returned. There were two self-made bombs found in his apartment that were armed with metal elements.

Criminal case based on Article 258 (act of terrorism) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine was started.

On April 20 2014 a group of pro-Russian terrorist burnt “Silpo” supermarket in Odessa throwing Molotov cocktails. After that they posted a video and run a poll in social networks asking to help them to choose next target.

In the video below you can see a group of men who are throwing Molotov cocktails in the supermarket. The supermarket was located on the ground floor of apartment complex, so that could cause big fire burning apartments above it.


Just two months before that a group of unidentified people burnt Odessa’s office of Batkivschina political party run by Yulia Tymoshenko. Security Service of Ukraine prevented another terrorist attack at railways near Kharkiv

Security Service of Ukraine detained a saboteur of so-called Donetsk People’s Republic right after he set bombs at railways close to Izyum station (124 km to Kharkiv). Those tracks are regularly used to transport military vehicles of Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The person who appeared to be local resident was recruited in January 2016 by representative of so-called Ministry of State Security of DPR. For 15 000 USD reward he agreed to blow up railways at Izyum train station. Security Service officers detained saboteur after he already set two bombs. Bombs were made with the use of high caliber artillery shells and 2 kg of TNT. According to received information the next target for terrorist attack were hydro technical facilities of Kharkiv Region.

Security Service of Ukraine detained Russian citizen who said he took a bomb on a flight from Dubai to Kiev

On March 25 pilots of the flight that was coming from Dubai from Kiev (Flydubai airline) reported that they had a passenger on board who said that he took a bomb on the flight. When the plane landed in Kiev officers of Security Service of Ukraine detained citizen of Russian Federation who claimed he had a bomb. The rest of the passengers were evacuated and the aircraft was checked.

At about 14:00 flight from Dubai to Kyiv landed at Zhuliany airport. There were 149 passengers on board, one child and 7 crew members. Right after landing one one of the passengers said that there is a bomb on board and he was planning to use it. The plane was taken to another location, passengers were evacuated. The man who said about the bomb was detained, it was Russian Federation citizen Vasiliy Nishchuk born in 1956, also another Russian citizen Viktor Kucher who was involved in that situation was also detained.

A resident of Mariupol who got recruited by Russian citizen surrendered to Ukrainian Army after spending one month with militants of so-called Donetsk People’s Republic. According to him he got disappointed in “Russian World” and was paid only 30 USD after 4 weeks of his “military service”.

My name is Maxim, I am resident of Mariupol. A friend of mine who is a resident of Russian Federation offered me to join militia of Donetsk People’s Republic and promised a salary of 1000 USD per month. He said that he spent a year as a militant in Motorolla’s group called “Sparta”… From Mariupol I came to Samara (Russia), from Samara to Rostov with a friend of mine. In Rostov at a bus station we met a person who was taking people to Donetsk (Ukraine). We got on a bus and there were also 2 Russian citizens with us. We had 850 Rubles, so we got to the border for 800 Rubles, at the border we were allowed to pass by and went to Donetsk to the bus station. At the bus station Russians took us to recruitment office by taxi. At the recruitment office in Donetsk we met with curators, they took us to military unit in Novoazovsk. At Novoazovsk we were just securing the territory of the military unit. Military commanders like Colonels from Russian Federation were coming there, Russians, and they were checking what is going on…

Security Service of Ukraine together with soldiers of 36th separate mechanized brigade of Armed Forces of Ukraine detailed a militant of terrorist organization “DPR” near Pyshchevyk village.

At the beginning of March of 2016 a resident of Mariupol was recruited by Russian citizen to one of terrorist groups. He was promised a salary of 1000 USD per month for his service and he became operator of anti-tank guided missile system.

The militant also guarded one of the headwaters and was working at different checkpoints, he took part in building fortifications.

The criminal was shocked by lack of discipline and alcoholism among terrorists. Also instead of 1000 USD he was only paid 2000 Rubles (about 30 USD). After getting disappointed in “Russian World” he run away and surrendered to Ukrainian soldiers.

Security Service of Ukraine detained 5 members of terrorist group of so-called Lugansk People’s Republic in Odessa who planned terrorists attacks in the South-East part of Ukraine.

The terrorists were going to attack one of the prisons of the region following instructions of Russian curators and they were planning to explode a bomb during one the religious holidays. This attack was supposed to destabilize social and political situation in the South-East of Ukraine, specially to provoke an ethnic conflict.

Security Service stopped illegal traffic of fuel and detained men who tried to bring 4.5 mln RUB to occupied territory

Security Service of Ukraine together with fiscal service and border guards stopped fuel truck with 5 000 liters of fuel near Hranitne village in Donetsk Region. The cargo costs about 100 thousand UAH. Smugglers were trying to transport the truck to temporarily occupied territory.

Police detained a driver of a vehicle who was trying to transport 2 tons of clothes and shoes worth about 300 thousand UAH to the territory controlled by terrorists violating the rules of cargo transportation through the contact line.

In the same area Security Service of Ukraine, fiscal service and border guards detained medical cargo that had no documents. There were glasses, lenses, ophthalmic knives and so on worth about 100 thousand UAH.

At “Novotroitske” checkpoint police detained 2 men who were trying to bring 4.5 mln RUB in cash and a lot of bank cards to so-called “Lugansk People’s Republic”. They were trying to hide money and cards in underwear.

Smugglers were trying to get 740K UAH and 298 bank cards to Lugansk from Kharkiv via Russia

Security Service of Ukraine detained a woman who was trying to get 740K UAH in cash and 298 bank cards to Lugansk city controlled by pro-Russian militants. Money and cards were hidden in bags with flour. Smugglers planned to cross the border with Russia in Kharkiv Region and after that get to the territory controlled by militants of so-called Lugansk People’s Republic.

Security Service officers detained 48 years old woman from Lugansk at “Chugunivka” checkpoint, she was trying to take out of Ukraine 740 thousands of UAH and 298 bank cards illegally. The destination point of the trip of the courier was the territory of Lugansk Region which is temporarily under control of terrorist organization “LPR”. The criminal hid the money and bank cards from customs in bags with flour.

Just few days ago on February 21 a resident of Lugansk was trying to bring 850 thousands UAH in cash from Russia to Ukraine. He was stopped at the Ukrainian border in Kharkiv region. Security Service of Ukraine stopped illegal mechanism that was used to issue passports of Ukrainian citizen to residents of the territory which is temporarily occupied by terrorists.

The procedure was organized by a representative of one of the illegal armed groups of so-called Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR). According to information available now passports were also ordered to legalize militants on Government-controlled territory.

Courier of terrorists was delivering all documents needed to issue a passport to departments of State Migration Service of Ukraine in Lugansk Region located on the territory controlled by Ukrainian authorities. Officials of one of the departments were issuing new passports illegally, they were renewing damaged or lost passports. People who were ordering passports were paying about 40 USD for each new ID.

Officers of Security Service of Ukraine detained courier first, he had about 20 passports and other documents of residents of temporary occupied territories. Later they detained the head of one of the departments of Migration Service in his office while he was getting almost 4000 UAH bribe. He got the money for 4 passports.

Investigators of Security Service of Ukraine started criminal case according to Part 1 of Article 258-3 and Part 3 of Article 368 of Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Russian officers of JCCC got medals from Donetsk People’s Republic for their service

Security Service of Ukraine released new evidence that proves involvement of Russian officers of Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) in training militant’s of so-called Donetsk People’s Republics. Russian officers were going in and out of occupied territory of Donbass as members of a group that monitors cease-fire violations in the area and helps to stop fire from both sides of the conflict. Border control found books with military instructions on various subjects, DPR insignia of different pro-Russian militants units and medals given to Russian offices by DPR for their “fight against Ukrainian aggression”.

During rotation of Russian part of JCCC mission on January 27 at border control Ukrainian officers found 14 books on military affairs with limited access “For official use only” that Russian officers captain Sergey Kutsenko and major Aleksandr Kornik had with them, the books were on these subjects:

installation of machine guns on vehicles;

blasting operations and mine clearance;

building fortifications and defensive structures;

Russian officer Andrey Akimov had different patronymic name that didn’t match his ID. Captain Sergey Kutsenko was not in the lists and border guards made a decision to send both back to Russian Federation.

On February 2 2016 border guards at “Hoptivka” border control checkpoint in Kharkiv Region looked through the luggage of Russian officers and found materials that confirm that they provide support for members of terrorist organizations of DPR and LPR.

Lieutenant colonel Elizar Popov, major Sergey Trofimenko and Yuriy Frolov had original certificates issued by so-called Minister of Defense of DPR that confirmed they got medals, certificates said “Given to internationalist soldiers and commanders of Armed Forces of Donetsk People’s Republic who are rewarded for special courage, feat of arms and for support provided to Donetsk People’s Republic in a fight to stop aggression of Ukraine”. The text on the medal says “Internationalist soldier”.

The head of Security Service of Ukraine said that those materials are directly related to military operations on occupied territories of Ukraine.

Huge cache of weapons found by Security Service in Donetsk Region near Kurakhove

Security Service of Ukraine found huge cache of weapons in a forest in Donetsk Region near Kurakhove city. There were 47 boxes with bullets of different caliber, a box of hand grenades, a box of grenades for grenade launcher and shells for automatic grenade launchers, six RPG-22 grenade launchers, 4 improvised explosive devices, eight mortar shells of 80 mm caliber, tow shells for RPG-7, a landmine, 1.5 kilos of plastids, electrodetonators and hand grenade detonators.
