20 645 people crossed the contact line via checkpoints in Donetsk and Lugansk Regions yesterday

According to the report posted today by Border Guard Service of Ukraine 20 645 people crossed the contact line via checkpoints in Donetsk and Lugansk Regions. Most of the civilians 18 210 got in out out of the conflict zone via 4 checkpoints in Donetsk Region and only 2 435 people crossed the contact line in Lugansk Regions via the only one checkpoint operating in Stanytsia Luhanska.

Below are the numbers posted by Border Guard Service of Ukraine at http://dpsu.gov.ua that show how many people went through each checkpoint.

Zaitseve – 6955 people and and 1455 vehicles;

Mariinka – 4660 people and 1190 vehicles;

Novotroitske – 4690 people and 1250 vehicles;

Hnutove – 1905 people and 480 vehicles;

Stanytsia Luhanska – 2435 people.

Today in the morning there were 150 vehicles coming from non-controlled territories via Zaitseve checkpoint and 100 vehicle going opposite direction. At Mariinka there were 120 vehicles going to non-controlled territories. At Novotroitske there were 60 vehicles going to government-controlled territory and 30 going out. There were no lines of vehicles at Hnutove checkpoint.

22 085 people crossed the contact line via checkpoints in Donetsk and Lugansk Region yesterday. This information was reported by State Border Guard Service of Ukraine today at http://dpsu.gov.ua The number of people going in both directions continue to increase.

Below are exact numbers of people and vehicles that went through 5 checkpoints in ATO zone located along the contact line, 4 of them are located in Donetsk Region and there is still only 1 working checkpoint in Lugansk Region that can only be used by pedestrians.

“Zaitseve” checkpoint – 6580 people and 1365 vehicles;

“Mariinka” checkpoint – 4525 people and 1160 vehicles;

“Novotroitske” checkpoint – 5400 people and 1385 vehicles;

“Hnutove” checkpoint – 2565 people and 640 vehicles;

“Stanytsia Luhanska” checkpoint – 3015 people.

Today in the morning there were 150 vehicles in front of “Mariinka” checkpoint going to government-controlled territory and 170 vehicles going to non-controlled territory. 350 vehicles were going in via “Zaitseve” checkpoint and 150 going out. 50 vehicles were going in via “Novotroitske” checkpoint and there was no line of vehicles on the way out. There were also no lines of vehicles at “Hnutove” checkpoint.

Over 21 thousand people crossed the contact line in the East of Ukraine yesterday

In the last few days the number of people crossing the contact line in the East of Ukraine increased by 30%. Usually about 15 000 people were going in and out of occupied territories daily. Yesterday 21 312 people went through checkpoints in Donetsk and Lugansk Regions.

In total there are 5 checkpoints operating in the zone of Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO). 4 of them are in Donetsk Region and only 1 in Lugansk Region. Today State Border Guard Service posted exact numbers of people and vehicles that crossed the contact line yesterday. See their report at http://dpsu.gov.ua

Donetsk Region:

1. “Zaitseve” – 6556 people and 1225 vehicles;

2. “Mariinka” – 5385 people and 1170 vehicles;

3. “Novotroitske” – 4235 people and 1265 vehicles;

4. “Hnutove” – 2560 people and 765 vehicles;

Lugansk Region:

1. “Stanytsia Luhanska” – 2576 people

Today in the morning there were 150 vehicles at the contact line in front of “Marrinka” checkpoint going inside government-controlled territory and 115 vehicles going out. There were 300 vehicles going in and 80 going out via “Zaitseve” checkpoint. There were no vehicles at “Novotroitske” and “Hnutove” checkpoints.

Just in the last 24 hours pro-Russian militants attacked Ukrainian positions 69 times! All cease-fire violations were registered in Donetsk Region. Militants used 120 and 82 mm mortars banned by Minsk Agreements. 7 Ukrainian soldiers were wounded, nobody was killed. 13 508 people crossed the contact line via checkpoints in ATO zone yesterday.

Pro-Russian militants continue to shell fortifications of Armed Forces of Ukraine located in ATO zone. In the last 24 hours they attacked our positions near Donetsk and Mariupol 69 times.

Mortar attacks on Ukrainian fortifications in Zaitseve and Mayorsk continued. The enemy was using mortars of 120 and 82 mm caliber. Our positions in Krasnohorivka, Verhnyotoretske, Talakivka and Pavlopil were also shelled by mortars.

After military activity near Mariinka during the day the enemy continued to shell our positions using grenade launchers and small firearms.

The situation in other areas along the contact line was also tense. Positions of Armed Forces of Ukraine in Opytne, Troitske, Pisky and Avdiivka were shelled with the use of grenade launchers and high caliber machine guns.

National Security and Defense Council reported that 7 Ukrainian soldier were wounded in the last 24 hours and no soldier was killed. See report here.

State Border Guard Service of Ukraine opened “Mariinka” Checkpoint today in the morning. You can see their report here. It was closed yesterday after attacks from the side of pro-Russian militants of so-called Donetsk People’s Republic. In total 13 508 people and 3 051 vehicles crossed the contact line via 4 checkpoints in Donetsk (3) and Lugansk Regions (1) going to and out of occupied territory.

84 attacks on Ukrainian positions and 11 wounded soldiers in 1 day of “Russian cease-fire”

Pro-Russian militants continue to violate cease-fire agreement and there are more and more attacks on Ukrainian Army positions everyday! Today the number of violations got to the highest number since the end of August 2015. Just in the last 24 hours pro-Russian militants shelled Ukrainian fortifications 84 times, they also used weapon which was banned by Minsk protocol! In one day of Russian-style “truce” 11 Ukrainian soldiers were wounded.

The situation in ATO zone in the last 24 hours remains tense. Illegal armed groups of so-called Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) shelled Ukrainian positions near Donetsk and Mariupol.

The enemy attacked our positions near Krasnohorivka 14 times using grenade launchers, small firearms and 82 mm mortars.

Ukrainian fortification in Luhanske, Mariinka, Pisky, Opytne, Novhorodske, Troitske and Shyrokyne were shelled with the use of different types of grenade launchers. Besides that the enemy used anti-aircraft guns attacking Opytne and weapon of APC attacking Novhorodske.

Our positions in Talakivka, Hnutove, Adviivka, Zaitseve, Mayorsk and Butivka coal mine were shelled by 82 and 120 mm mortars.

In total in the last 24 hours pro-Russian militants violated cease-fire 84 times. In some cases our soldiers had to return fire using weapon allowed by Minsk Agreements.

Spokesman of National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Andriy Lysenko has reported that 11 Ukrainian soldiers were wounded in the last 24 hours, no Ukrainian soldier was killed. See report here. At the same time there were no cease-fire violations registered in Lugansk Region.

 

Pro-Russian militants shelled Ukrainian ambulance when medics arrived to evacuate wounded soldiers near Mayorsk

Yesterday pro-Russian militants shelled Ukrainian ambulance using mortars when medics arrived to a checkpoint near Mayorsk to pick up wounded soldiers. During the attack the vehicle was damaged and one of the doctors was seriously wounded.

The message about attack on ambulance was posted by Ukrainian volunteers who provide medical support in the zone of anti-terrorist operation in the East of Ukraine, see here. That’s non-government organizations “Sister of Mercy” based in Kharkiv.

Our volunteer ambulance was evacuating seriously wounded boys today. We came to pick them up to the checkpoint in Mayorsk and… the checkpoint got under heavy mortar fire.

Everybody are alive.

The vehicle was got damaged badly, no glass, the radiator destroyed, no wheels.

The driver got scratches

The doctor “Pechenka” was seriously wounded by a shrapnel in the shoulder, now she is in the hospital in Artemivsk. Despite the wound she was helping other soldiers.

All wounded are in Artemivsk now. They will be taken to Kharkiv.

ATO Press Center report about increase of attacks on Ukrainian checkpoints located on the contact line. They confirmed mortar attack on Mayorks checkpoint that happened at night in their report also, see here. So the ambulance arrived to evacuate those who were wounded in that attack.

On January 30 2016 at 22:20 militants attacked Ukrainian checkpoint using mortars, the checkpoint is located close to “Mayorsk” checkpoint used by civilians crossing the contact line.

According to the information we have members of “DPR” terrorist organization are planing similar provocations near Artemivsk.

ATO Press Center reports that the number of attack on Ukrainian positions near Donetsk increased again. There were 66 cease-fire violations registered in the last 24 hours. Pro-Russian militants used grenade launchers, high caliber machine guns, mortars and APC weapon. In some cases Ukrainian soldiers had to return fire. 1 Ukrainian soldier was wounded.

The number of attacks of our positions from the side of militants in the last 24 hours dramatically increased.

The enemy attacked our fortifications near Mariinka using all weapon they had.Occupants used different types of grenade launchers and even anti-aircraft guns.

Our positions near Krasnohorivka were shelled with the use of grenade launchers and mortars, fortifications near Novhorodske were attacked with the use of BMP APC, automatic grenade launchers and machine guns.

Pro-Russian militants shelled our fortifications in Troitske and Zaitseve using mortars.

Traditionally the situation near temporarily occupied Donetsk was tense. The enemy attacked our positions in Opytne, Avdiivka, Pisky and Butivka coal mine using grenade launchers and high caliber machine guns.

In total in the last 24 hours pro-Russian militants attacked our positions 66 times. In some cases Ukrainian warriors had to return fire.

44 attacks on Ukrainian positions near Donetsk, pro-Russian militants also used a tank near Pisky

The situation in the East of Ukraine remains tense. Despite cease-fire agreement pro-Russian militants continue to attack Ukrainian Army positions, there were 44 attacks mostly near Donetsk just in the last 24 hours. Terrorists also used weapon that should be withdrawn according to Minsk Protocol. Near Pisky village they attacked Ukrainian fortifications using a tank, such weapon should be withdrawn at least 15 km away from the contact line. 1 soldier near Pisky got wounded, no KIA reported.

Pro-Russian mercenaries don’t stop shelling our positions in the ATO zone. The enemy attacked our positions near Opytne, Pisky, Luhanske, Novhorodske, Zaitseve and Mariinka.

The situation near Donetsk Airport was most tense. The enemy was shelling Ukrainian positions using small firearms, high caliber machine guns and different types of grenade launchers. Pro-Russian mercenaries attacked our fortifications near Pisky using a tank.

The situation near temporarily occupied Horlivka was also tense. Militants shelled our positions in that area near Novhorodske and Zaitseve using different types of weapon.

In total the enemy attacked fortifications of ATO forces 44 times in the last 24 hours.

Number of attacks on Ukrainian positions near Donetsk and Lugansk dramatically increased: 69 cease-fire violations in 24 hours

The number of attacks on Ukrainian Army positions near Donetsk and Lugansk dramatically increased, pro-Russian militants violated cease-fire 69 times almost all along the contact line in the last 24 hours. That is more than double compared to 29 attacks reported yesterday by Press Center of ATO Headquarters. 1 soldier was wounded and no KIA reported.

The situation in ATO zone got much worse. During the night pro-Russian militants were shelling our positions using weapon banned by Minsk Agreements.

The enemy shelled our fortifications in Pisky, Opytne, Krasnohorivka and Mariinka using grenade launchers, high caliber machine guns and small firearms.

It was not quiet near Svitlodarsk as well, the enemy attacked our positions near Troitske and Zaitseve using high caliber machine guns, and positions near Mayorsk were attacked with the use of grenade launchers.

Near Mariupol militants shelled our fortifications located close to Talakivka using mortars and anti-tank guided missile (ATGM) and near Starohnativka the enemy used 120 mm mortars.

Near Lugansk the enemy attacked Ukrainian positions near Zolote using automatic grenade launchers.

In the last 24 hours pro-Russian militants violated cease-fire 69 times.

Press Center of ATO Headquarters reports that pro-Russian militants violated cease-fire 40 times in the last 24 hours, they have been also using 120 and 82 mm mortars banned by Minsk Agreements attacking Ukrainian positions near Donetsk and Mariupol. Cease-fire violations with the use of small firearms were also registered in Lugansk Region.

The night in ATO zone was not quiet. The situation was most difficult near Mariinka. The enemy shelled out positions there 3 times using 82 and 120 mm mortars. Besides that they also used small firearms and grenade launchers several times.

Near Mariupol bandits shelled Vodyane villages located on so-called “gray zone” using 120 and 82 mm mortars.

Militants of temporary occupied Horlivka  attacked our positions near Mayorsk using small firearms and high caliber machine guns, they also used anti-aircraft guns near Novhorodske.

Shelling of near Donetsk Airport continues. Occupants systematically shell Ukrainian soldiers near Opytne, Pisky and South of Avdiivka. Tonight they only used small firearms and grenade launchers there.

Organized criminal groups violated cease-fire agreement in Lugansk Region again. Tryokhizbenka village was attacked with the use of small firearms, grenade launchers and high caliber machine guns. In order to prevent casualties among soldiers and local populations our military had to return fire using allowed weapon, after that militants stopped shelling.

In total pro-Russian illegal armed groups violated cease-fire agreement 40 times in the ATO zone. There were several shelling of our positions from the enemy side registered after midnight.
