Separatist media accidentally showed Russian agent’s car during tank training near Lugansk

Last week on August 29 Russian hybrid army hold tank units training on the territory controlled by so-called Lugansk People’s Republic. Several separatists and Russian media were recording that event. In the video that was posted the head of separatists Igor Plotnitskiy arrived to the training ground on a car that had Russian plate on it. According to the number on the plate the car is registered in Belgorod Region that borders with Kharkov Region. Security Service of Ukraine has reported several times already that pro-Russian terrorists who are active in Kharkov and who were detained before were trained and coordinated in Belgorod by FSB, Russian Secret Service.

After the video was uploaded to YouTube Julian Röpcke noted the fact regarding Russian car that was present at the military training on the territory of Lugansk Region which is under control of pro-Russian separatists. Shortly after that the video was deleted and re-uploaded, the part of the video that showed Russian car was deleted. But full version of the video is still available on other Russian TV channels like Life News

This kind of training indicates that Russia is not going to follow Minsk Agreements, and they are not training for defense. In the last weeks the Kremlin propaganda that controls the media on occupied territories of Ukraine are constantly threatening local population that Ukrainian Army is going to attack any moment. Also according to Minsk Agreements the territories should be returned under control of Ukrainian authorities and the control over the Russian-Ukrainian border should also be returned to Ukraine.

This battalion training is a classic example of breaking through the enemy defense line. First there is artillery attack, after that tank battalion is breaking through enemy defense, motorized infantry battalion covers the flanks. Also motorized infantry battalion goes behind tank battalion and successfully finishes the operation. There is one goal: unity, understanding, skills and learning.

This kind of training shows that Russian hybrid army (aka combined Russian-separatists forces or pro-Russian separatists) is getting ready for another round of escalation with a goal to sabotage Minks Agreements and force Ukrainian government to accept peace plan on Kremlin conditions. This may happen in case successful Russian assault operation on the East of Ukraine.

See the videos from the tank unit training below. You can see Russian car from Belgorod at 1:21

The next video was posted by local Lugansk media, the part with the Russian is not there.

Here is the video that was re-uploaded and they deleted the part with Russian car that was at the beginning

Pro-Russian “activists” protest against the International Committee of Red Cross in Lugansk

Couple of days ago on August 28 the “authorities” of so-called Lugansk People’s Republic brought about 200 students from villages of occupied territory of Lugansk Region to the head office of International Committee of Red Cross located close to the center of Lugansk at 12A Standartniy Gorodok St.

It is not clear what those young people were demanding. The main message that so-called protesters were trying to deliver was that “ICRC is doing nothing” and they also blamed ICRC in co-operation with legal Ukrainian authorities. It didn’t look like those young boys and girls suffer much and there were quite happy and smiling while posing with messages that were accusing ICRC in taking part in crimes that Ukraine does against them.

This show looked very cynical as since the beginning of the conflict on the East of Ukraine International Committee of Red Cross increased its presence and activity in Ukraine. This is probably the only international organization that constantly delivered humanitarian aid not only to Ukraine controlled territories of Lugansk and Donetsk Regions, but also to the territories that are currently under control of so-called Lugansk People’s Republic and Donetsk People’s Republic. For example, ICRC delivers and distributes food packages that weight 20 kilos each to people of Lugansk. Such packages have different kind of cans, oil and cereals enough to feed a man for 1 month.  ICRC also assist to restore infrastructure like water pipes on damaged territories, they also deliver construction material to fix broken house and so on. If somebody is helping people on those territories that are under pro-Russian insurgents control, that’s ICRC.

Just a day before that “protest” another, already 37th, “humanitarian” aid convoy arrived to Lugansk from Russia violating international humanitarian laws. Local people of Lugansk said many times that even if there is food in those white trucks from Russia, they only see it on the shelves of local supermarkets that are controlled by the leader of LPR Plotnitskiy. People of Lugansk only got food packages from Russian 1 time in September 2014, that’s all.

Among those 12 hostages there are some who were kept by terrorists for a year, some were in Ilovaisk and got released. One of those who were released decided to stay with his family that lives in Horlyvka… There were difficult negotiations for several months, the last stage took place yesterday in Minsk and in Donetsk Region and the operation was successful. It was not easy for us in Minsk. But it’s much more difficult for our colleagues as they got under fire last night. I thank Budyk, Ruban for their work and courage and I thank Security Service and Ministry of Defense for their great job that helped to release hostages. There is result in coordination and cooperation.

– Iryna Gerashchenko, see post at www.facebook.com/iryna.gerashchenko

At the briefing Iryna Gerashchenko said that the President of Ukraine during each international meeting raises the question of that part of Minsk Agreement that says about release of all hostage. The Security Service of Ukraine coordinates that process.

In the list of people who were illegally detained are 156 names, those are military, represantatives of volunteer battalions and civilians. At the say time 11 Ukrainian people are in Russian prisons, among them are Nadiya Savchenko, Oleg Setsov and others.

According to Minsk Agreements all hostages must be released including those heroes who were kidnapped and illegally taken to the territory of Russian Federation. The President of Ukraine and the Minister of Foreign Affairs raise this questing during all international meetings and emphasize that Russia ignores that point of Minsk Agreements and they demand from Russia to release those hostages and ask from the world for adequate reaction on Russian actions.

Later today Ukrainian Military TV posted the video of POW exchange.

Last POW exchange was near Lugansk on July 10, 10 Ukrainian soldiers were released, see details at 10 Ukrainian hostages released. Soldiers exchanged 10×10 on Shchastya bridge.

People present there prayed for those who got killed and stood together in a moment of silence.

I want to say that my son was a regular young man of 20 y.o. who always believed that Lugansk will be liberated. And I think it is going to be that way. Thank you for protecting the unity of Ukraine. Ukraine is alive and it’s impossible to divide it. We must appreciate it, young men proved that paying with their lives.

Border guards are 1st who meet the enemy on the border. I have no doubts that none of us was ready for this situation. For many of us that was a shock. We must appreciate those suns, husbands and fathers who didn’t step back. I understand that was unequal battle. The enemy had armored vehicles and helicopters. Could our boys retreat? Yes, sure they could. And I don’t know if any of us would have words to judge them for that. But they didn’t retreat and the enemy had to run away. They protected us. I put my head down in front of their friends and relatives. Sure, we can’t return those boys. But this should be a lesson for all of us. I want to say sorry to their parents, sorry that we couldn’t save your children.

Turchynov: Russia set up 5 pontoon bridges on Ukrainian border as part of their invasion plan.

Oleksandr Turchynov

Oleksandr Turchynov

Oleksandr Turchynov, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, reported yesterday that Russian Army on the East of Ukraine is getting ready for further escalation. According to Turchynov engineering units of Russian Armed Forces set up 5 pontoon bridges over Siverskiy Donets River where it goes along the border between Ukraine and Russian Federation and they also prepared roads to those passages.

This way they are building military infrastructure that will allow to send more Russian Army units to occupied territory of Ukraine where they can be used in combat operations.

- Oleksandr Turchynov

Turchynov also said that this is another evidence of Russian Army direct involvement in the war started by Kremlin on the East of Ukraine.  This statement was posted on the website of National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine at www.rnbo.gov.ua/news

Previously the investigative reporters of InformNapalm.org posted information about Russian Army tank units that set up pontoon bridge over Siverskiy Donetsk River 20 km from Ukrainian border near Russian Filippenkov village. See full report here.

On the map below part of Siverskiy Donets River in marked in red. The river goes along Russian-Ukrainian border which is under control of so-called Lugansk People’s Republic. Setting up pontoon bridges there will allow Russia to send ammo and other supply to Lugansk 2 times faster (less than an hour) as that way the distance gets cut in half. This is also important to Russia as they will avoid going through dense residential areas on their territory. Right now most of the traffic goes via Izvarine village.

I am very happy to see so many people here. Let’s remember what happened in the past. A gang of bastards, pathological kleptomaniacs, 1st were raping Donbas and after that they spread all around Ukraine. At the moment when people rebelled against those scums, those monsters run away. 1st time in the last 24 years we got an opportunity for development and not for slavery. And at that moment we got 1st “brotherly” stab in the back, that was in Crimea. We didn’t have time to recover and same bastards that were raping Donbas started a war here, telling people myths about “Russian world” and “Donbas can’t be put on the knees”. Sure you can’t “Put Donbass on the knees”, because after 15 years it was put down on the ground. Those people are trying to separate us bases on different characteristics. But they will fail. We are all united by one thing. You can’t choose your parents, and same way nobody can choose his Motherland. Our Motherland is Ukraine. We live on the land that was given to us by God and we will not give it away to anyone. I congratulate you all with the Independence Day of Ukraine.
