Reported by Lugansk Regional State Administration

The Governor of Lugansk Region H. Moskal personally brings aid to damaged villages.

The Governor of Lugansk Region Hennadiy Moskal went to Tryokhizbenka village which is located on Ukrainian controlled territory near Siverskiy Donets river. The village is constantly shelled by mortars and GRADs (multiple rocket launcher system) from pro-Russian terrorists side. Two days ago in Kryakivka village which is not far from Tryokhizbenka 2 men were killed by the mine. Last time when Moskal was in the village he talked to one family, the mine landed in their yard, luckily nobody was killed, but the roof in their house was blown away by a blast wave. There are no money for compensation in the budget, so the Governor brought the materials to fix the damage from the humanitarian aid that was sent by Zhytomyr Regional State Administration. In the photo you can see how the debris damaged the front of the house and metal doors on a garage. It’s good that nobody was around at that time.

After the materials were unloaded from the truck, the Governor went to the local church to pray for peace in Donbass. Before he was leaving he found out that the soldiers who accompanied him were board guards from Chernyvtsy Region. That is the area where Moskal is from. It was nice to meet them 1200 km away from home! Those guys are real warriors. They have German Sheppard called Bars who is protecting them. When terrorists start shelling the dog starts to bark and soldiers have time to take cover. The dog saved many lives…

On the way back near Novoaidar village they saw this soldier that you see in the photo and couldn’t pass by. Slavik is 9 years old, he said he would be a soldier to protect Ukraine. The Governor asked him for a photo together for a good memory. Slavik didn’t mind that.

Armored vehicle “KUGUAR” saved lives of Ukrainian warriors in Lugansk Region

Yesterday at 15:00 in Lugansk Region not far from State Border there was a combat collision between Ukrainian Army and Russian saboteur group

Border Guards, Security Service and Ukrainian Army were doing reconnaissance and search activities in order to detect saboteurs and located enemy group in the direction “Kolesnikivka (Ukraine)” – “Manotskiy (Russia)”. Immediately the battle started. Ukrainian soldiers forced the enemy to retreat with casualties.

During the battle one Ukrainian Army soldier was wounded and Border Guards arrived to evacuate him using armored vehicle “KUGUAR” which is used by cover groups. But during evacuation the vehicle got damaged when it got on a mine. The armor saved Border Guards and the wounded soldier who only got minor injuries.

Last week armored vehicles also saved lives to Border Guards twice as they were patrolling the territory using them.

Border Guards who are on duty in the zone of ATO (Anti-Terrorist Operation) only recently got “KUGUAR” armored vehicles. Those vehicles have higher security level and they can protect soldiers from automatic weapon.

Right now we are planning to get other types of modern armored vehicles.

Later today electric company workers managed to fix it. That line was giving power to water pumps. People had to work under extreme weather conditions, it was -10C today, they water in the central system could get frozen in 5-6 hours and that would course technical catastrophe. Now power and electric supply is restored. Also according to latest information there were no casualties among civil population in Shchastya after yesterday and today shelling.
